Fleming Hockey Skills Camp
Camp Information
Camp location: Millwood Rec. Center 7202 28 Ave.
Camp Dates: August 12th-16th, 2024
Cost: Player Rate:$320 per player
Family Rate: 2 or more players pay $275 per player
Group Rate: 6 or more per team are eligible for the family rate.
Payment may be made by cheque or e-transfer.
Skills taught: Power skating, shooting, passing, team play, checking, puck handling
Skills are taught in easily understood progressions and game simulated activities with immediate feedback which leads to understanding and successful performance
Schedule: Depending on the division players are in they will be at the hockey school in one of the approximate time frames:
- 1. Ages 6 - 8 8:45am - 12:15pm
- 2. Ages 9 /10 9:15am - 12:45pm
- 3. Ages 10/ 11 10:00am - 1:30pm
- 4. Ages 12 - 15 10:30am - 2:00pm
- 5. Extra Goalie sessions Wed./Thurs. 2:15pm - 3:15pm
*Note: There is some flexibility on athlete placements in their age groups- and often athletes 'slide' from one group to another for various reasons.
Also: Over the past 10 years the camp has run some years with 4 groups and some years with 3 groups, and that option is still available to camp organizers.
Sample Schedule:
9:15am - 10:15am - Ice Session
10:30am - 11:30am - Ice Session
12:00pm - 12:40pm - Off ice training
Conditions for participation: Camp is for players age 6 to 15. Full hockey equipment must be worn for all ice sessions. Participants must conduct themselves in a responsible and respectful manner. Failure to do so could result in removal from the school.
No refunds after August 1st. A $50 fee will be assessed for NSF cheques. Fleming Hockey Skills Camp reserves the right to cancel the hockey school if circumstances are not in the best interest of the participants or the school with a 100% refund.
